Bad Bunny and The Marías Otro atardecer meaning
Otro atardecer – “Another sunset ” is a song by the Puerto Rican singer Bad Bunny and the indie band The Marías . The song was released in 2022 and like most of the songs in the album in the video clip, we can see Bad Bunny sitting on a beach’s shore relaxing while we hear the music.
Otro Atardecer is a song about a sad man who wonders what happened to his ex-girlfriend’s life , he still feels something towards her but she is not around anymore, however, he kept two wine bottles just in case their paths meet again. He reminds the time when she was with him and how good they spent their time together, doing always new stuff but someday he doesn’t know what happened and she left him. I can say the lyrics are simple to understand if you have certain Spanish knowledge.
What makes Otro atardecer from Bad Bunny a difficult song is the amount of contraction there are in the lyrics . In Puerto Rico is common to contract words because of their pronunciation, however, someone who isn’t used to that kind of slang will have trouble understanding this song because the meaning of certain sentences can change because of a simple contraction. Making the image script for the song wasn’t so easy either because there are many phrases in the lyrics that are difficult to represent with simple images.
In general, Otro atardecer is a good song for those Spanish learners who want a challenge and want to face a more difficult version of the Spanish language. As a song, Otro atardecer by Bad Bunny is a cool song for relaxing while having some drinks.
