Review
David Bisbal Ajedrez's meaning and English lyrics translated
David Bisbal reached stardom in 2000 after reaching second finalist in the first edition of the Spanish show Operacion Triunfo 2001. In 2016 the agency Personality Media elaborated a survey about David Bisbal's fame in Spain and the results obtained proved that at least 97% of the Spanish population recognized David Bisbal as one of the most influential Spanish artists in their country and internationally.
Ajedrez – “Chess” is one of the most recent songs by David Bisbal, released this year, David Bisbal is trying to give his musical career a new and modern style to his music while still conserving his beautiful voice.
Ajedrez is a song about desire and forbidden love . A man is at a party and in the distance sees an ex-girlfriend. The girl is also surprised to see him but she is already dating someone else and both know that nothing can happen between the two. The man feels frustrated because they never coincide in any place, and when he feels that something is going to happen, she disappears and the same happens to her, when she tries to look for him, he’s missing, it’s as if their clocks were turning in reverse.
Ajedrez is a nice song, the new style and rhythm suit David Bisbal really well and the lyrics are easy to understand, just be careful with the singing as the Spanish accent can be difficult for some people to follow up .
