Song summary:
"Sad love song" is one of the songs that were included in the first studio album of the Mexican rock band El Tri.
How: The album was the band's first under the new name of El Tri, as Álex Lora had just finished a legal battle in 1983 with Carlos Hauptvogel over the rights to the name Three Souls In My Mind, so the band continued under the name El Tri.
Song emotion:
"Sad love song" it's a melancholic song composed by Alejandro Lora with metaphors and symbols, this song is about a utopian, unrealizable, unattainable love between two people, who at a given moment were blessed with the gift of being able to enjoy their love and that they could carry beyond death.
"Sad love song" is proof that less is more; a song of exquisite simplicity that tells us the story of a platonic love, that becomes a reality and ends in a tragedy and that has become a rock classic
About the video:
The song does not have an official video but the song can be found on the special album "El Tri Sinfonico" that was recorder live.
Sinfónico is a live album of symphonic rock by the Mexican band "El Tri". The album was recorded on October 12 and 13, 1998 at the National Auditorium in Mexico City to commemorate and celebrate the rock band's 30th anniversary.

The invited symphony for this project was the Metropolitan Symphony of Mexico, with Mtro. Eduardo Diazmuñoz as musical director, which would participate again for the Sinfónico II album (2001).
Symphonic is the sixteenth album by El Tri, and the fourth recorded live; and includes a compilation of the most representative songs of the group, as well as two monologues by Alex Lora; the first as an introduction to the concert and the second before the song "Nostalgia".
