Review

I found this song when looking for a song that used the Usted form of verbs.  The whole song is written in Usted form when Jose is talking to his love.

It's a short love song about Jose's infatuation with a girl, and boy is he infatuated.  It is filmed in colour, and has a 70s feel about it.   I absolutely love this song - not really my style - but the passionate way Jose sings and the melody and simple sound is wonderful.

It reminds me so much of my father who would have loved to spend an evening listening to this.  He learnt a lot of Spanish and Usted would have made a great subject.

Jose uses a lot of subjunctive - expressing his desires via that mood - but I have to say he's not very confident; and this may wind up being an unrequited love.    Saying that Jose has the 70s latin hunk look to him, women love a sop, and the fact it turns out he's sold millions of records might have got him his "kiss" wish in the end.
