Review
Julieta Venegas Andar connmigo meaning and English lyrics explained
Andar conmigo – “Being with me” is a song by the Mexican singer Julieta Venegas , the song was released in 2003 and it is considered among the most popular song by her. Andar conmigo was a success in Mexico, The USA, Colombia, and Venezuela.
Andar conmigo is a song about the importance of knowing the person you like very well before starting a serious relationship. The lyrics are presented as if Julieta Venegas is talking to an imaginary person who she is in love with, she says that there are many things she wants to tell that person but the best thing is to start slowly. She encourages the other person, to tell the truth about his life because it can’t be as bad as he thought. Julieta then reveals that she also has secrets to share and she is eager to tell them. After that, she ask the person if he would like to be with her.
Julieta Venegas is recognized for making easy and relaxing music including often love themes in her songs and lyrics. Andar conmigo is no different, the lyrics are easy to understand and the singing is slow and clear , what can be confusing for beginners to understand is the main sentence of the lyrics which is “Andar conmigo” if you use a translator for that lyric the result will be something like “Walk with me” but that’s incorrect since it is not the meaning Julieta Venegas intended in her song.
“Andar conmigo” refers to the action of being with someone , whether hanging out, dating, spending time together, or even walking together. If you can understand that, you will have no trouble understanding the lyrics and the rest of the song which is easier. Andar Conmigo is a song recommended for beginners but be careful with mentioned above.
