Review
Julieta Venegas El presente meaning and English lyrics explained
El presente – “El present” is a song by the Mexican composer and singer Julieta Venegas . The song was released in 2008. El presente received positive critics and it was a success in her country Mexico and Spain where the word remained the top one for eleven weeks consecutively, in the USA, the song reached number 2 as the best Latin pop song. El presente was the first Live Album MTV Unplugged that Julieta Venegas released.
El presente is a song about living the moment and enjoying what you are doing alongside the person you love. The lyrics say that the present is the only thing that exists and it’s the only thing we need because we don’t know if life will give us the necessary time to do all we what, for that reason we need to enjoy the moment and not postpone thing we can do now.
El presente also has a romantic message in the lyrics , saying that we need to love people for what they are at the moment, maybe sometimes we are too hard on people wishing they change faster or give us things they don’t have. Relationships sometimes should be based on what we feel in the moment, that way we can see how the relationship evolves in time.
El presente by Julieta Venegas is a beautiful song and it’s among the most popular song she has made, now, in terms of learning, the song is extremely easy, with no too many lyrics and verbs , and the singing is slow-paced not to difficult to follow up. El presente is a nice song if you want to practice your Spanish and pronunciation and at the same time listen to one of the most popular Latin songs ever made.
