Review
"Innocent" is a song created by La delio Valdez .
It is a cooperative of musicians and its repertoire combines original works by the group with arrangements of Cumbias belonging to the popular songbook incorporating resources from other genres linked to the Andean tradition of northwestern Argentina; reggae, rock, salsa or jazz, a style that is both traditional and contemporary.
In this live version, Karina "La princesita" joins them to sing the lyrics passionately in the Luna Park stadium in the heart of Buenos Aires, Argentina.
The lyrics are about a woman who knows that the man she is with is a player. And during the song, she tells him that she figured out his ways and is unwilling to love him or take him back once he begs for her forgiveness.
I think this is a great cumbia song. You will pick up words that are commonly used and probably end up singing them again and again.
Cumbia is Latin American music with many different styles, though the genre is distinguished by being percussion-heavy, with a signature double beat.
