Review
This song was written in 2020. The artist's main focus was to capture the uncertainty of those times, and give people hopes of a better future going forward. There's a lot of metaphor going on here. I interpret that it's about a couple that cannot be with each other because of the lockdown. It's about how after everything that's hapening in the world, life goes on and there're hopes for a better tomorrow. Hence, the "sunflowers never stop turning" metaphor.
It makes me feel a little sad because I have to remember those times, and the sequels we're still living today. Nevertheless, Fonsi gives it an air of optimism and humanism that I like very much.
It does not include any explicit themes. It is just exactly the opposite of that idea, because it's a reflective song. It evaluates a reality. That's what I find particularly exciting and inspiring.
The video portrays different realities from arbitrary people throughout the pandemic. For instance, a group of boys playing soccer, family members separated because of quarantine, and an elderly man remembering his late spouse.
It's just a beautiful song. I encourage you to check out the video on Youtube. Also, make sure to check out Fonsi as well
