Review
Luis Miguel Culpable o no meaning and English lyrics explained
Culpable o no - "Guilty or not" is a powerful song by the Mexican singer Luis Miguel . The song was released in 1988 when the singer was seventeen. The song was inspired by the first girlfriend the singer had Mariana Yazbek who was a photographer who worked with Luis Miguel. Their relationship only lasted six months because they had many troubles like their parents not wanting them to be together and many people speculate that the singer cheated on her too, giving born the lyrics for the song.
Culpable o no is a song about infidelity , the lyrics tell us the story of a man whose ex-girlfriend cheated on him, now that relationship is over he can meditate about all the lies she told him. Now that they are separate, he starts to see that she has a lot of enemies and that everyone is talking behind her back. However, despite that all that she has done to him the only thing the man wants is for her to lie to him as always, to tell him that everything is alright because he needs to believe what she says and get convinced even when deep inside he knows she was cheating on him.
Just as I said, Culpable o no by Luis Miguel is a powerful song for those suffering from infidelity or who had in the past a couple who cheated on them.
In terms of learning culpable o no is an easy song . There aren’t difficult words or verbs as they can be translated and understood without a huge Spanish knowledge and the singing is slow-paced and his voice is clear and comprehensible. Luis Miguel is one of the most famous Latin singers of all time so it’s worth a shot to listen to one of his biggest hits.
