Review
The song appears to have been written for a romance between Carlos and Marta , although in real-life they were never a couple.
Marta's name appears in the lyrics, and references are made to holidays in Venezuela, which is where Carlos comes from.
The song outlines a romance between the two performers where they bid each other not to let each other "fall" whilst they are "hanging" in each other arms.
They talk about love letters of poems, songs that they share enjoying, missing talking to each other, being close to one another; the smells, the sexy actions of physical love.
They implore each other to take care of their hearts.
Wonderful song with lovely South American sound. It is a sexy song, and there are figurative references to some pretty intense lovemaking. Carlos and Marta are top-billing artists in the Spanish speaking world and this was a wonderful collaboration between them.
This performance was given on TVE Channel 1 on New Year's Eve 2009. The song was a big hit that year all over the world.
Carlos and Marta have a polished routine that was also show in the more film-type video that was released with the song (with Carlos as Marta's chauffeur).
They both look amazing and move and dance beautifully. Pleasure to watch.
