Review
Summarise the story in the lyrics; you can put your interpretation of the meaning.
This song is about a gypsy woman who wanted to get married and invoked the moon crying, asking for a lover, the moon said that she would give her a man only if she sacrificed her first child in return. When the gypsy woman became pregnant, the child was albino like the moon, and the gypsy man thought his wife cheated on him with another man and with a knife in his hand he stabbed her to death, then the gypsy took the boy in his arms to the mountain and I left him there. The story goes that when there is a full moon it is because the child is happy and when the child is crying the moon is waning to make a cradle for him.

This is a very famous band from Spain and "Hijo de la luna" is a very famous song that every Spanish speaking person has heard at least once is very emotional and slow and makes your imagination go wild since is very explicit and it's almost a very lyrical poem. This is a sad song that makes you reflect on relationships and inspires you to imagine the story.
Does it include explicit themes? Is it a fun or sad song?
Yes very explicit, this is a sad song, and this song is about betrayal and includes themes such as death, the gypsy world and mysticism, and magic.
How does the song relate to the YouTube video? What is going on in the video?
Ana Torroja is an incredible and quite expressive artist who in this video (in a very poetic way) sitting on a chair tells us the story, also there are a few images about the albino child but she implies that she wants to protect the child since this terrible misfortune happened. We have to remember that this video is from the '80s, that's why the visual effects were very successful at that time
