Review
Song summary:
"Your lack of love" is a song by Chilean singer Mon Laferte, released as the second single from her album Mon Laferte Vol.1.
The theme represents a hymn for everyone who has suffered for love, which added to the great interpretation of the artist results in a work of art
How:
On August 30, 2014, Laferte released the first version of the song through her official YouTube account, in which we see the singer-songwriter with her guitar performing the song acoustically in her living room and the video ended up going viral
Song emotion:
At the time of writing this song, the artist was going through a depression caused by the breakup of her relationship with her partner, which led her to think about suicide.
Mon Laferte not only suffered a love breakup, her partner at the time was unfaithful to her, which is the best way to end your self-confidence and reduce your happiness and well-being to zero. Then her pain and her soul as an artist put millions of phrases in her mind; her words danced in her head over and over again waiting for Mon to put them in order. Day and night she had to deal with sadness as well as the concern of composing something that would help ease even a little bit of the pain in her heart.
About the video:
In the video Mon Laferte appears, accompanied by a felliniesque march, on a tour of the Cerro de San Pedro in San Luis Potosí, Mexico. Laferte appears dressed as a bride exposing her soul in tears and singing her song in a pilgrimage to her own burial, which is traditional in this region of Mexico.
