Review
Prince Royce Darte un beso meaning and English lyrics explained
Darte un beso – “Give you a kiss” is a song by the American singer Prince Royce . The song was released in 2013 and reached the number 1 position on all Latin billboards. It is weird as the song still sound and is recognized by people as if the song just came out because the rhythm and lyrics are modern.
Darte un beso is a bachata song , bachata is a Dominican musical genre characterized by mixing other urban genres like Bolero and Merengue. Bachata was played in bars in poor neighborhoods during the 60s and it was known as the music for lovesick people as most lyrics in Bachata are about failed relationships and infidelity although that has changed with time.
Darte un Beso lyrics are about a man who loves a girl, in the intro lyrics we hear that he is kind of obsessed with the girl as he mentions that the way he loves her is complicated and the way he thinks of her is a sin. The only thing the man wants is to kiss her to the girl but she doesn’t care for him.
Darte un beso is an easy song and excellent to learn Spanish , the lyrics are easy to understand and the singing is slow-paced and easygoing. As mentioned before, Darte un beso is a bachata song which makes the song a little slow and with a clear voice so you won’t have trouble understanding the lyrics. I recommend this song to Spanish beginners and those who want to listen to something new with a Hispanic touch.
