Review
This time we are going to review a song called “Lady Laura ” by the Brazilian singer Roberto Carlos , this song is a hymn to a mother’s love. The song was released in 1978, Roberto Carlos composed this song in honor of his mother Laura Moreira Braga.
The song is a beautiful piece and tells us the story of a man who sometimes has the desire to be a child once more because when he was a child every time he had a bad experience, Lady Laura, his mother, took care of him with great love. The song describes very poetically all the things a mother can do for her child when there is a problem or her son/daughter feels sad.
This song will take you back to your childhood and make you remember your mother, all the times she helped you, comforted you, and hold you in her arms when you were sad.
In terms of learning, “Lady Laura ” is an excellent song to repeat certain words like: “Chiquillo, abrazamé, aflicción, nuevamente” which may be a little complex in the song context, besides that the sentences are easy to translate and comprehend, and Roberto Carlos sing the song in a slow pace so you won’t have problems understanding what he is saying.
