Coger meaning in English: in this line of the lyrics there is a wordplay using the word “Coger” – “to pick” which can also be translated as “having sex, or to fuck” The full line is: “Solo una noche más para coger” – “Just one more night to (pick, grab) or (to have sex, to get laid, to fuck)” the wordplay is completed as the next lyrics say: “Las piezas de tu corazón y hacerte ver” – “The pieces of your heart and make you see” if you join both lyrics the full sentence will be: “Sola una noche mas para coger las pieces de tu corazon y hacerte ver” – “Just one more night to pick the pieces of your heart and make you see”.
Making the wordplay is only possible because the singer does a small pause between “Coger” – “To pick” and “las piezas” – “The pieces” making the listener hear that they need one more night to have sex or reconciliation sex.

Sebastián Yatra Una noche sin pensar meaning and English lyrics translated
Sebastián Yatra is one the trending Hispanic artists right now, songs like “Tacones rojos”, “Ojos marrones” and his participation in the Disney movie Encanto with the song “Dos oruguitas” launched Sebastián Yatra to fame and to be recognized internationally.
Una noche sin pensar – “One night without thinking” is one of his most recent songs. Una noche sin pensar is a song about a boy and a girl who encounter themselves during a party, they were once a couple but for reasons we don’t know their relationship ended and now they are apart, however, it is clear that they are still feeling things for each other. The lyrics relate their inner dream of having a night together again to express their desire, that’s why they need “One night without thinking” about absolutely nothing that isn’t their repressed love.
I don’t consider this song too easy for someone who doesn’t have a mid-Spanish level because even though the lyrics aren’t that difficult, following the singing and the rhythm can be a little hard if you aren’t used to hearing Spanish conversations. There is the word “Lao” which is a contraction for “Lado” – “Side” and there is even a wordplay using the word “Coger” which can mean “pick or grab” but also at the same time “to have sex or f*ck”. I explained deeply the meaning of both cases in the translation in case you want to know a little more.
Overall Una noche sin pensar by Sebastián Yatra is a great romantic song, not too good to practice if you are starting with Spanish but good if what you want is a challenging song to translate.
