“Amiga mía” is a song by the famous Spanish writer and singer Alejandro Sanz, the song was released in 1997 but since then is always around the top of Spanish romantic music, only on YouTube the song has more than 403 million views and the song was the first Alejandro Sanz song to reach number 1 in the U.S. Billboard Latin Pop Airplay.
The video clip was recorded in Costa Amalfitana, Italy and the scenery is show us an Italian neighborhood with a light blue filter that gives emotive and melancholic emotions to the viewer
The song lyrics are romantic and passionate, yet a little sad. “Amiga mía” tells us the story of a girl who is in love with a man that apparently lacks the courage to be with her while a friend of her (Alejandro Sanz) sings how he sees her wanting to be the man, desiring to finally concrete her love. However, the singer, the friend of the girl appears to be in love with her, but respects her and tries to help her to finally made her happy with the man she loves while he suffers in silence.
The video clip is very early in the morning when Alejandro Sanz, the girl’s friend sings on the balcony of a house, she awakes to the music and decides to go to the house of her love while all the people that live in the neighborhood get angry as the singing and the music bother them, they all start to get close where Alejandro Sanz is singing while calling the police to make him stop. “Amiga mía” is one of the most famous songs from Alejandro Sanz.
