Normally girls are quiet during their childhood but sometimes when they grow up or hit a certain age, they tend to become more rebellious and disobey their parents. When that happens usually you can hear moms saying: “Ella no era asi, no se quien la daño” – “She wasn’t like that, I don’t know who ruined (spoiled) her". Bad Bunny is somehow mocking when the mother says that. Now, the song lyrics speak about a girl who liked to study and always went to bed early but now she doesn’t study anymore and spends her time drinking at parties and consuming drugs, enjoying her life.

Review
Bad Bunny Callaíta lyrics meaning
Callaíta is a song by the Puerto Rican singer Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio best known as Bad Bunny, the song was released in 2019 and quickly became a number one hit in Spain while in the USA reached number 2 in the Hot Latin Songs. The song was included in 2022 as a part of Bad Bunny's album un Verano sin ti.
The video clip and the lyrics are about a girl who was quiet and shy, who liked to study and get to bed early to go to classes the next day, but then suddenly one day he starts going out to parties and living a debauchery life. She looks quiet and timid but for the sex, she’s a beast and wild. She wasn’t like that everyone wondered but now she wraps the blunt and lit it up. She’s the friend of the dealer and apparently, she’s over twenty, the girl is enjoying her life at max.
The song ends by saying that if there’s sun, then there’s a beach, if there’s a beach, there’s alcohol, and if there’s alcohol there’s sex. The song lyrics can result in polemic to some people as most of the song speak about sex, drugs, and having fun like there’s no tomorrow but the purpose of the song is to teach people to enjoy their lives while they can and ignore what other people have to say against.
Callaíta is a difficult song for Spanish beginners thanks to the numerous slang and contractions that the song has, just the name of the song can be difficult to understand and translate, the most important slang is explained above, usually reggaeton songs are difficult to understand at first because they tend to use more street like words and expression that sometimes aren’t defined in dictionaries. If you like challenges you will love Callaíta.
