Review
Ricardo Arjona El Problema meaning and English lyrics explained
One of my favorite Spanish singers is Ricardo Arjona , some people say his music is weird or even that is meaningless, but I can’t agree with those who say that. Ricardo Arjona’s music is great and most of the time poetic but at the same time simple, without too many complex lyrics. He often tells us stories that involve a woman in them, songs like: “Historia de un Taxi ” – “Cab story” or “Señora de las 4 décadas ” – “Ms. of the 4 decades” are good examples of it.
“El problema” – “The Problem ” by Ricardo Arjona is a very straightforward song, a man finds himself confused about his feelings for a girl he likes but she barely acknowledges his existence. Most of the lines of the lyrics start by saying “El problema no” – “The problem isn’t” and “El problema es” – “The problem is” which describe perfectly how the man feels in his head. He doesn’t consider a problem that she lies, the problem is that he believes her. The problem isn’t that she hurt him, the problem is that he likes it and so on during the lyrics. He admits that he wants to get rid of her, but how when she isn’t even with him?
El problema is a cool song, as an interesting fact, the song is the most popular by Ricardo Arjona , when it was released in 2002 the song was even in the top charts in The USA and Spain.
In terms of learning I don’t consider this song a difficult one, most of the lines are similar and just a few sentences differ from the rest. You can learn the meaning of the word “Problema” and how to use it in certain sentences, so a good catch if you didn’t know about this song.
